This fabric gallery includes fanciful tea cosies, unusual fabric sculptures, a luxurious, yet useful needle case and some exquisite
evening bags that add an exclusive touch to your evening wear.
With fabric paints, almost any desired effect can be achieved, from simple and bright, to delicate and detailed. Beads and
embroidery give added visual and tactile appeal. A brilliantly coloured shawl compliments the feisty nature of belly/earth dances
and the exotic bags are large enough to carry dance gear.
We often combine polymer clay with our fabric work to achieve a special touch and have a workshop designed specifically for
those fabric workers interested in making their own 'special decorative 'bits and pieces'. A new door opens when you discover
what you can do with this phenomenal clay.
Fabric paints open another new door, there is no end to the possibilities! These are two of our favourite workshops. Fabric workers
design service. We will design certain individual needlework projects for you.
and discuss your ideas.

Notes on the ‘Mossy Bank’ World Champion Tea Cosy. from Penny Eamer
When possible and/or practical, I prefer to start with white or natural materials. I like to colour my own materials in order to get the exact shade and tone that I require.
The base for this work was painted calico. Other fabrics include, panty hose (for the Leprechaun's face, hands and feet), knitted cotton fabric, crushed velvets, assorted
thrift shop fabrics, embroidery thread, wire, ribbon and crochet cotton.
The wired roots went in first to establish the layout, next rocks were placed, then the major moss cushions . From that point on it was very much a case of 'decide as I
go'. Frogs are superb creatures to sculpt in fabric, enabling a variety of positions and degrees of difficulty. With the exception of the leaves and small seams on the
leprechaun's outfit, the sewing was all done entirely by hand.
I usually work with larger 3D fabric sculptures than those found in this work. The irony is, I never drink tea, in fact I don't even own a teapot!
I have been asked many times, how long 'Mossy Bank' took to make. It is not a question I can answer, as I worked on it intermittently over a period of some months
and I never count time spent on projects as being important. Time ceases to exist when I am involved in creative pursuits.
I run workshops in the above methods.
